Graduation has come and gone for our Seniors, and summer school has
arrived. For those attending summer classes at either the high school
or elementary campus, work hard and make every day count — so that
when August arrives you will have your academics in control, peace of
mind, and days of summer sun to enjoy before Labor Day finds you heading
to the school bus stop once again.
Please keep Homecoming Weekend open for time at school — Friday,
September 17th - Sunday, September 19th. Friday evening activities
include a joint Sports Booster-Olanna 5K Run, Saturday has team sports
with neighboring schools and Soccer Club tournament games with good food
prepared by Sports Booster parents, make your own tee shirts, and
more....Saturday night Leadership Greene will host a multi-district
dance and lock-in at the high school (with many chaperones....), and
Sunday — Sunday is Parents, Partners and Pancakes once again! Come to
breakfast or brunch (Chef Wemitt will be doing special requests one more
time), meet our community partners, learn about our extracurricular
activities, and talk with your neighbors as the new school year gets
underway!
Faculty and staff will return to school on Tuesday, September 7th, and
students begin their year on Wednesday, September 8th. Until then,
best wishes for a re-energizing July and August, filled with time for
family, friends, and all that is best in a Greene County summer.
