“Exasperation” Spells Trip to Regionals for Catskill 5th Grader

Catskill Elementary School recently held its annual Spelling Bee with students participating from grades four and five. 5th grader Billy McMullen correctly spelled “exasperation” in the final round to edge out runner up and fellow 5th grader John Breusch. We are pleased to announce that, as the winner, Billy will be representing Catskill Elementary School at the 2018 Capital Region Spelling Bee on February 13 at Proctor’s Theatre in Schenectady. Congratulations to our CES champion!

CES Spelling Bee Champion Billy McMullen is joined by (left to right) Mrs. Lisa Schlenker, Catskill Elementary School Assistant Principal, and Catskill Elementary School teachers and Spelling Bee Committee members Mrs. Alexandra Standish, Mr. Matthew Luvera, Mrs. Heather Schindler.
