Important Message from Dr. Cook

June 4, 2018

Dear Catskill CSD community:

As we near toward the end of the school year, I wanted to remind you of some important calendar shifts for this week.

On Tuesday, June 5, 2018 (tomorrow), a New York State Global Regents Exam is scheduled. As a result, our High School is in session only for students who are scheduled to take the Global Exam. All other High School students are out-of-school for the day. Elementary and Middle School students have a full day of school tomorrow.

Secondly, due to the over-utilization of snow days, Thursday, June 7, 2018 is a full day of school for staff and students. It was originally scheduled as a Professional Development Day.

On Friday, June 8, 2018 at 9:00am, Major Jonah Brown, 2001 Catskill High School graduate, is scheduled to conduct a low level fly over our elementary and secondary campuses in his F-15 fighter jet. His biography will also be included in this letter. I wanted to share this information with you to ensure that no one panics from the noise level and becomes concerned about the safety of their children.

Lastly, Monday, June 11, 2018 is the last full day of school for High School students. Please continue to review the District calendar and website for upcoming events and celebrations.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at (518) 943-4696 with any questions or concerns.

Respectfully,

Dr. Ronel Cook

Superintendent of Schools
