Catskill Middle School celebrated Red Ribbon Week, October 22-26. This is a time when the youth of the nation are encouraged to live a life that is drug-free. The student support team leadactivities during lunch periods to provide information about drug and alcohol use prevention. Please partner with us and discuss this message at home, at the dinner table, at family outings, and with friends and extended family.
Through spirit days, students and staff dress up and have fun to bring awareness to this nation-wide effort:
Monday: Kick off Red Ribbon Week, wear red!
Tuesday: CMS students are too bright to use drugs! Wear your brightest colors.
Wednesday: Unite against bullying, wear orange.
Thursday: Wear your favorite sports jersey to show you will lead a healthy life style.
Friday: Cats can and will be drug free, wear Catskill colors.
Students at CMS worked during lunch periods with support staff to take their pledge. Students wore red as well as discussed different ways to be drug free. They also created posters throughout the school.
Great job, CMS!
