Community leaders, friends and family visited Catskill Elementary School on March 1 to read to our students in kindergarten, first and second grades, part of our school’s participation in the National Education Association’s Read Across America program, which celebrates Dr. Seuss’s birthday. The Friday event capped off a whole week of Dr. Seuss and reading-themed school spirit days at CES where students were encouraged to do something fun every day, like wearing green (green eggs and ham!) or dressing up like their favorite book characters. Here are a few photos of some of the folks who dropped in to share their favorite books with our students.
