Dear CES 5th Grade Families,
I want to thank you for your patience regarding the planning of our 5th Grade Moving Up Celebration and Reverse Parade.
The Moving Up Day Ceremony will look a bit different for 2020. All 5th grade students will create a google slide to share. All the slides will be combined together with videos of the speeches and awards to make a “Virtual Moving Up Celebration” video. Once we have all the completed slides and speeches we will share the “Virtual Moving Up Celebration” video with you by June 17, 2020.
In addition to the “Virtual Moving Up Celebration” video we are also organizing a “Reverse Parade” to celebrate the 5th grade students transitioning to Middle School. The date and time for the “Reverse Parade” will be Friday, June 12, 2020 at 11:00am. Line up on Embought Road starting at 10:45 am. The parade route will travel around the Elementary School Bus Circle where CES Faculty and Staff will be cheering and celebrating the 5th grade students with music and signs of congratulations. The parade route will continue around the circle and back out to Embought Road heading towards the Middle School. Continue down Broome Street until you reach W. Bridge Street. Take a right on W. Bridge Street then a left onto West Main Street heading towards the Middle School. The Parade route will conclude at the Middle School where Middle School Faculty and Staff will welcome the 5th graders and their families.
Feel free to decorate your vehicle with balloons, signs, student name etc.
