It’s official! Catskill CSD is proud to announce that the New York State Education Department (NYSED) has approved Catskill High School to offer three accredited Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses through its Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) and Business programs. These new courses are:
- Hospitality and Tourism
- Marketing
- Nutrition, Health, and Wellness
Along with providing Catskill students with diversified learning opportunities, these electives offer students new pathways to earn a diploma with CTE endorsements.
The NYSED approval stems from the efforts of FACS teacher Kelly Marino and business teacher Patrick Hernandez, who spearheaded the application process to bring these CTE courses into their programs here at Catskill.
“This provides a wonderful opportunity for our students and I would like to congratulate Mrs. Marino and Mr. Hernandez on their accomplishments,” said superintendent of schools Dr. Ronel Cook.
At Catskill Central Schools, we say “Cats can, and Cats will!”
