January Letter to CHS Families from Mr. Shah

Dear Catskill High School Family:

It’s hard to believe that we are halfway through the school year! I wanted to reach out and give a few updates about weeks to come so families can adequately plan. In November, the New York State Education Department canceled the January Regents Examinations. The exams were supposed to be given the week of January 25-29. We have not received guidance yet about the June Regents.

Typically, we have a Regents Week schedule where students solely come to school for exams and return home. We will not be running a Regents Week schedule this January. School will operate as normal, with the only exception of Tuesday, January 26 being a remote day for our building only as we are offering the PSAT exam. If you have any questions about the PSAT, please reach out to your child’s Guidance Counselor. If the District is remote for whatever reason on 1/26, the PSAT will not be given. Also, please note that the quarter ends on Friday, January 29. Please encourage your child to reach out to their teachers to make up any work that is owed. SchoolTool is updated regularly with grades and assignments are posted in Google Classroom.
