CHS Teacher Headlines Panel Discussion on Educating During the Pandemic

Catskill teacher Stefanie Loomis had the distinction of being a panel presenter at the most recent Academy for the Advancement of Teaching, Leadership and Schools (AATLAS) edTrends Tele-teaching session for educators in the Capital Region. Mrs. Loomis, who teaches chemistry and physics at CHS, is a New York State Master Teacher and part of a network of outstanding educators who attend regional meetings, engage in intensive content-oriented professional development, share best practices, and mentor up-and-coming  teachers in their field – all for the betterment of education in NYS.

Mrs. Loomis was one of six Master Teachers invited to serve on the panel to discuss how the pandemic has affected the delivery of education and share the teaching practices, technology, and strategies they now use to keep their students’ education moving forward. 

AATLAS and the NYS Master Teacher Program, both overseen by the State University of New York (SUNY), aim to promote continuous advancement and innovation within the education profession for the benefit of students.
