Catskill FCCLA “Outstanding” at NYS Conference

 

group photo of Catskill FCCLA participants at NYS conferenceCatskill’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) excelled at the NYS FCCLA Leadership Conference, where our FCCLA chapter received the Outstanding Chapter of the Year award!  The conference was planned and implemented by the 2021-2022 NYS FCCLA Executive Board, which included Catskill High School students Lauren Liberti as president and Emma Brown as vice-president. Students from around the state attended the two-day conference and competed in Students Take Action with Recognition (STAR) Events, at which Catskill students excelled, medaling in all eligible events and qualifying to compete at the national level.

CHS business teacher Patrick Hernandez was awarded FCCLA Honorary Membership in recognition of his assistance with filming and editing the virtual FCCLA state conference in 2021.  

Also at the conference, Lauren and Emma finished their leadership terms and Catskill’s Christopher Konsul was installed as the next NYS FCCLA President for 2022-2023.
