Santa’s Helpers Thank Community for Helping Them Help Others

On behalf of the Catskill High School student government, we would like to thank the Catskill community for their generous support of Santa’s Helpers this year. Because of your support, we were able to provide assistance to over 70 local families. We raised $11,500, all of which was used to purchase gift cards for Price Chopper and nonperishable food. We would like to thank Justin Slater from Slater’s Pellets and Jim Eisel from Prattsville Great American, who assisted with the purchase of food items and delivery to the school. We would also like to thank the Village of Catskill, Catskill Fire Department, Village Pizza, Pomodoro’s, Goodie’s, Willa’s, and Ambrosia Diner for allowing students to collect money in front of their businesses. Additionally, the following businesses gave gracious donations: Story Farms, Bank of Greene County, Catholic Charities and Lacy Ford. Even with all of the changes that Covid has brought about and the uncertainty of many things this school year, our community never fails to come out and support their own! We are so grateful for all of you and proud to be a part of this close-knit community.
