CHS Artists Earn Awards at Regional Show

Congratulations to CHS seniors Charlie DuBois and Melody Stupplebeen on their award-winning artwork  at the Columbia-Greene Community College High School Art Show. Charlie’s sculpted Pickles in a Jar took third place and Melody’s abstract representation of Sally from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas won the Director’s Award! The panel of judges chose their artwork out of a field of select artwork representing some of the most talented art students from 11 area school districts!

“I am over-the-top so very proud of them both,” remarked CHS art teacher Wendy Doney.

Charlie and Melody were selected from Mrs. Doney’s Sculpture class to participate in this annual juried art show, which is an honor in itself.

The show continues through February 23, so if you have a chance, stop by the Foundation Gallery at G-GCC to see this amazing show!
