Catskill High School’s “Crafted By Cats” fashion show and art gallery took place the evening of March 3 at the Bridge Street Theater in Catskill. The event was a great success and showcased the tremendous talent of our students. The night began with a runway fashion show featuring pieces that students in our fashion design classes made, followed by a walk-through art gallery of students projects from our art classes.
Sponsored by the Catskill FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America), which worked with the CTE (Career and Technical Education) and Art departments, the show made for a fun and exciting evening. The project was led by CHS students Emma Brown, Lauren Liberti and Molly Osswald. Students spent much time putting together this event, from organizing the space to crafting the designs and making the art, to setting up the space. They collaborated with the theater owners to have the venue and worked together to provide food, drinks and music. Everyone enjoyed themselves as they were able to take part in all the event had to offer.
With the successful organization and cooperation of all the students involved, it was a pleasure to see it all come together, and we look forward to many more evenings like this in the future!
