Congratulations to Catskill High School students Tegan Morehead, Jaydon Turczyn, Eli Signoretti, Bee Blauberg, Jacob Leigh, and Korben Raffo for their team’s 2nd-place finish at the Odyssey of the Mind – NYS Region 4 Tournament held at Coxsackie-Athens Central School District on March 25.

The tournament included 38 teams from 11 different districts and one independent school from across Rensselaer, Columbia and Greene counties. The competition required students to work in teams to solve one of six open-ended problems using their imaginations and creativity. Catskill High School’s team competed in the Division III Problem #5: “The Most Dramatic Problem Ever!!!,” which challenged teams to create a humorous performance about a dramatic character that overreacts to common events. The team was required to use different theatrical styles as their character overreacted and include something that grew and a costume that represented two characters.

Our team’s second-place finish earned them a spot in the Odyssey of the Mind State Tournament taking place in Syracuse on April 15! Cats can and Cats will!
