Dear Catskill CSD Families,

I wanted you to be aware that Catskill Central School District canceled all outdoor activities and postponed all field trips scheduled for today due to the Air Quality Index being in the red level. According to the American Lung Association, red indicates unhealthy levels of pollutants in the air, in our case smoke from wildfires in Canada. When air quality is in the red, health authorities recommend limiting outdoor activities, especially for children or people with certain health conditions. As always, we are taking this precaution with the health and wellbeing of our students and staff in mind.
