It’s been a very busy time for students in the CMS and CHS performing ensembles, and they brought home a lot of hardware to show for it!
On May 31, both the CHS Band and Chorus traveled to Queensbury HS to be adjudicated at the Trills & Thrills Festival under the direction of Seth Dowling and Michelle Storrs-Ryan, respectively. The judges awarded both ensembles with SUPERIOR ratings. The Concert Chorus scored their HIGHEST scores since first attending the festival back in 2017, with an almost perfect score of 99/100 points.
On June 5, the 6th Grade Band under the direction of Joseph Geraci traveled to Kingston High School for NYSSMA Majors Adjudication. This was the first time that the 6th Grade Band has participated in this adjudication of ensembles, and they earned a SILVER rating!
On June 6, the CHS Band under the direction of Seth Dowling traveled to Kingston High School for NYSSMA Majors Adjudication. The band earned a GOLD rating, which is the first Gold rating for the group in over 20 years!
On June 7, the CHS Concert Chorus and the Treblaires under the direction of Michelle Storrs-Ryan traveled to Kingston HS for NYSSMA Majors Adjudication. The Concert Chorus earned a SILVER rating and the Treblaires earned a BRONZE rating.
Congratulations. Cats Can and Cats Will!
