The “The Light in Our Eyes” exhibit opening at the Athens Cultural Center was been a huge success! Students, parents, teachers, staff, as well as the community all came out to support our art students and their talents at this student-centered art show. It was an evening where everyone could appreciate the artwork up close, meet some of the artists, and see a performance that reenacted the life of French physicist Augustin-Jean Fresnel and his invention, the Fresnel lens, which is credited with “saving a million ships.” You can watch a video of the evening here… The final weekend of the exhibit is October 19-20.
