Thirty-three students from the Catskill music department attended the Greene County Music Educators Association (GCMEA) Fall All-County Festival hosted by Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk CSD on November 13 and 15. Select students from schools all over Greene County came together for rehearsals that culminated in a performance on Friday evening for families and friends. Catskill Cats worked with other musicians from different districts as well as a guest conductor. The concert featured four ensembles: Elementary Chorus (grades 5 & 6), Junior High Band (grades 7-9), Sr. High Chorus (grades 10-12), and Sr. High Jazz Band (grades 10-12). Students from Catskill who participated in the festival were under the direction of Catskill music teachers Maggie Giglio (vocal elementary), Michelle Storrs-Ryan (vocal middle school and high school), and Seth Dowling (instrumental middle school and high school).
