On December 19, Catskill Central School District held a special dedication ceremony at Catskill Elementary School in memory of our beloved fourth grade teacher and colleague Heather Schindler. A plaque honoring her legacy was installed at the entrance to the second floor green wing, now named Schindler’s Way, where she used to teach. In regards to the magnitude of this honor, this is only the second time in the history of our school district that an area of a building has been named in honor of a former staff member.
