Catskill CSD is proud to announce that the Utica National Insurance Group has given us their highest award for safety excellence. Utica National, which insures more than 300 school districts in NYS, presented Catskill with the Titanium-level School Safety Excellence Award at its annual school safety seminar on March 31. Along with a framed certificate commemorating the District’s safety efforts, Utica National presented Catskill with a $500 award for use in furthering safety in the District. 2025 marks our eighth year in a row earning the Titanium-level award.
In Utica National’s Safety Excellence Award program, schools can earn meritorious distinction at three levels – gold, platinum, or titanium – by meeting specific criteria that enhance overall school safety. Utica National evaluates schools in categories such as bullying prevention programs, playground safety, transportation, and other areas using specific, quantifiable surveys.
