CHS Art Club’s Cat Blossoms

As part of their ongoing connection to the community, the Catskill High School Art Club has once again designed and created a cat for the Heart of Catskill’s annual Cat’n Around Catskill exhibition throughout Catskill. Their “Blossom of Life” cat features mountains at the base, cherry blossoms painted in a 90’s anime style, pink gems scattered throughout, and a butterfly perched on his nose. Students who worked on the cat Include Kayla Vandermark, Aryanna Bush, Jack Mercedes, Zachary Taranto, Adriana Passero, Zoey Osterhoudt, and Lacy Soura. They worked together to make important decisions, and learned how to communicate their many ideas and compromise when necessary.

Come visit “Blossom of Life” and all the cats when they go on display around downtown Catskill this summer!
