FCCLA Brings Home Gold & Silver

Please join us in congratulating our Family, Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter for their continued success at the NYS FCCLA Leadership Conference! The two-day conference was attended by 240 students from around the state, who used the skills they learned in family and consumer sciences classes to compete in the conference’s STAR (Students Take Action with Recognition) Events. Catskill students brought home three gold awards and one silver!

Liam Mariani & Jiana McDonald: Gold in NYS Culinary Arts

Aaron Cousens & Jaxx Marquez-Haberstroh: Gold in Chapter in Review

Louise Kieraldo: Gold in Fashion Construction

Saydree Holtz: Silver in Career Investigation

At the award ceremony on Thursday night, Catskill alumnus Christopher Konsul was honored with the “Ultimate Connection Award” for his continued involvement in FCCLA at the state level.

NYS FCCLA 1st Vice President Leon Hong, along with other FCCLA state officers, planned and facilitated the conference. He completed this 1½-year-long leadership position at the close of this year’s conference.
