Annual Arbor Day Celebration

The Catskill Elementary Student Council and Catskill Tree Council co-hosted the Annual Arbor Day Celebration on our secondary campus grounds April 25. The celebration included the planting of a Scarlet Oak tree, donated by the Catskill Tree Council and CES Student Council, outside the Superintendent’s Office. This was the 3rd year in a row that the CES Student Council has participated in the ceremony, last year donating a Scarlet Oak.  “We are very appreciative to have the opportunity to participate in this program and to donate the trees to the community and watch them grow,” said CES Student Council Advisor Barb Erceg.  Thanks to all who participated and a big thank you to Jim Maccaline, CHS teacher and Catskill Tree Council member, for his involvement and for emceeing the ceremony.
