USA Pickleball Serves Up Grant for Catskill Elementary PE

Catskill Central School District is thrilled to announce that USA Pickleball Serves has selected our elementary school as the recipient of a “Grow the Game” Grant! Thanks to this exciting award, our students will now have the opportunity to experience one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, pickleball, in right here in their physical education classes.

The grant includes:

  • 48 Wooden Paddles
  • 100 Pickleballs
  • 2 Portable Nets
  • A Youth Pickleball Provider (YPP) Subscription

This achievement is the result of a grant application passionately submitted by our very own elementary physical education teacher, Mrs. Davis, who is deeply committed to creating engaging, movement-based opportunities for all students.

“Pickleball is the perfect way to keep students active, laughing, and developing lifelong skills,” said Mrs. Davis. “To me, physical education isn’t just a class, it’s the heart of the school day. It’s where kids build confidence, learn to work as a team, and discover the joy of moving their bodies. I applied for this grant because I want every child to feel successful, have fun, and find something in PE that makes them excited to come to school. Mr. Joyce and I take pride in building a program that supports their health, happiness, and personal growth.”

Stay tuned for updates as our students serve, rally, and smash their way into this exciting new adventure!
