CDSUA Honors Edmond for Dedicated Sportsmanship

Ava Edmond holding award plaque

Catskill senior Ava Edmond’s consistent display of respect, positivity, and resilience on the field has not gone unnoticed. The Capital District Softball Umpires Association has selected her as a recipient of the Sportsmanship and Dedication Award! This recognition is reserved for athletes who truly embody the heart and spirit of the game—not just through skill, but through character. Ava’s consistent display of respect, positivity, and resilience on the field has not gone unnoticed. Whether she’s encouraging teammates, treating opponents with dignity, or showing grace under pressure, Ava represents the true values of the sport of softball. Her commitment, spirit, and unwavering sportsmanship serve as a shining example for others. Our director for physical education, health & athletics, Mr. John Rivers, had the honor of presenting Ava with her award during our Sports Awards Night June 4. Please join us in congratulating Ava on this well-deserved recognition. Cats can and Cats will!
