Catskill Teachers Advocate for Schools at Committee of 100

Catskill was proudly represented at the Capitol this week! On behalf of Catskill Central School District and the Catskill Teachers Association, Jennifer Zindle-Manning, Committee on Special Education chairperson, and Amanda Esposito-Hammond, special education teacher, attended the Committee of 100 at the New York State Capitol in Albany. The Committee of 100 brings NYSUT members and other educators together from across New York to meet directly with state legislators and advocate for issues impacting our schools, students, educators and our communities. Discussions focused on the importance of increasing funding for public schools, supporting teacher pension legislation, maintaining community resources, and protecting the overall welfare of educators and students.
