I was born and raised in Catskill, graduated from Catskill High School in 1991 and received an Associates in Science from Columbia-Greene Community College. I am a New York State licensed Land Surveyor, own and operate my own business Holtz Surveying from Catskill.

Having a daughter within the school district, I appreciate the hard work of the teachers and educators within the district.

I believe that there are changes that need to be made to the path the school is currently going with more support for the teachers and educators, being more fiscally responsible, making sure all the children within the district receive the resources they need to have a successful education for their future and holding those district employees accountable for their actions that are against the welfare of the school.

Items brought to the attention of the school board need to be factual by proof and be investigated thoroughly. This is to ensure the trust of the parents, employees and teachers. It is also important that the parents, employees and teachers can be heard, as they should be, by the board.

I will not betray the trust of the parents, students, teachers and employees. I am a parent with a child in the district and believe in a level and fair playing field for all. I also take very seriously the importance of the role of the board and who works for who.
