Mr. Thibault’s 3rd grade science class participated in the ‘Cart Distance Challenge.’ Students applied their knowledge of force, gravity, and changes in motion to design and build a cart using a set amount of materials. Working in small groups, they strengthened their teamwork and communication skills, and had a lot of fun throughout the challenge. Students tested and redesigned their carts so they could move and travel effectively after being launched from a ramp. The cart that traveled the farthest won the competition! All 3rd grade students will be participating in this science challenge.
