Lucy Halstead, CEO of First New York Federal Credit Union, visited our first grade classrooms December 17 to teach students all about pennies and nickels, and their values. Students had a blast investigating real coins, counting pennies, and learning through hands-on fun. At the end of the lesson, everyone got to take home either five pennies or one nickel!
