CES is a cornucopia of giving! Leading up to its annual Turkey Trot, students and families at CES donated non-perishable food items to support local families in need through the Matthew 25 Food Pantry. The school’s November character trait of Gratitude tied into this time of giving by reinforcing the idea of being thankful for what we have and for what our CES families were able to donate to Matthew 25. CES donated close to 1,000 items, with second grade leading the grades by donating 238 items. As a result, the second grade teaching team will be performing the Chicken Dance at the December holiday assembly. The CES physical education department and CES PBIS advisors work together to bring this all together.
