The recent Cooking Club series at CES saw an overwhelming response, with over 100 students in grades 3-5 applying for a spot in the kitchen. To accommodate as many as possible, 70 students were selected at random to participate across seven unique sessions. Each session hosted a different group of 10 students, ensuring a rewarding experience where the students made pumpkin pie, Italian ricotta cookies, potato gnocchi, spinach & cheese ravioli, or decorated cupcakes, depending on the session.
Special thanks to the Catskill Education Foundation for supporting the purchase of equipment and to the CCSD Custodial Staff, who donated some of their retired shirts to be converted into aprons.
