Kindergarten students have been working all year long on number sense with Mrs. Coleman and Mrs. Bulich. Each month they engage in Number Corner activities from The Bridges Math Program based around a monthly calendar. As they near the end of the year, the kindergartners are now learning to use their number sense skills to solve word problems independently. The children are now able to solve a number word problem, show their work using simple math drawings and write an equation. They have also learned to use the mistakes they make to help them grow. It is very exciting to watch our young students using this growth mindset to solve problems and their teachers are proud of all their hard work this year!
