One Day at CES!

While every day at CES is filled with exciting opportunities, January 30 was exceptionally lively. These snapshots capture just one day in the life of our school, and while we couldn’t catch everything on camera, our students enjoyed countless opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive because of the dedication of our entire school community.

Pictured here, our kindergarten teachers engaged in professional learning to prepare for upcoming Benchmark units. In the Thinking Classroom, students built Super Bowl scores. In art, Ms. Allison showcased students’ creativity through watercolor landscapes. We are grateful to our amazing PTA volunteers who popped popcorn to help our 4th graders celebrate their participation in a national field test. Our 5th graders wrapped up their plant research projects, while Miss F’s class used gross motor movement to strengthen letter name and sound recognition. In PE, students proudly demonstrated movement and direction following in their dance unit. We also recognized grade-level recipients during our PBIS celebration focused on Honesty and Trustworthiness. Also, a heartfelt thank you to our cafeteria staff for always providing warm meals that fuel our students’ bodies and minds. We ended the day on a high note with the Catskill Teacher Association’s wonderful Literacy Fair, which brought families together to celebrate the joy of reading.

We are incredibly proud of our teachers, staff, and community for their continued commitment to creating an environment where students are immersed in meaningful experiences that foster inquiry, collaboration, and exploration!
