Titans of Industry

Congratulations to Catskill High School Entrepreneurship students Parker Craig and Christopher Madrid, who won the Junior Achievement Titan CEO challenge. JA Titan is a simulation-based learning experience in which students compete as business CEOs in the phone industry, experiencing firsthand how an organization evaluates alternatives, makes decisions, analyzes the outcomes of those decisions, and then strategizes on what to do next. Financial decisions about production, marketing, research and development (R&D), and corporate social responsibility (CSR) show how every choice made in an organization relates to its future success. This year’s competition included 53 teams representing six different school districts. Pictured here, Suzanna M. Bernd, Development and Communications Director from Junior Achievement (left), accompanied by Jaclyn Sirianni, CHS business teacher (right), presents Parker and Christopher with their certificates and checks. Cats can and Cats will!
