Catskill High School’s Symphonic Band made a special visit to Catskill Elementary School on May 3 with the aim of fostering a deep appreciation for music among our 3rd and 4th grade students.
During the visit, the high school band showcased their musical talents through a performance of three fun and exciting pieces. Additionally, student performers provided insightful demonstrations on the mechanics and tonalities of their various instruments, giving the elementary students a valuable opportunity to explore and contemplate their own musical interests. Following these demonstrations, select 4th grade band members joined forces with the high school ensemble to play some tunes together, further igniting their passion for music.
Overall, the event proved to be an educational and enriching experience that set a promising trajectory for our budding performers’ musical journey in the years ahead.
