Capital Project Moving Forward – Public Presentation Nov. 13

Catskill’s Capital Improvement Project is moving forward, with the District on track to submit a finalized project design this December for State Education Department (SED) approval. Pictured here, our project’s Construction manager, John Hanson from Triton Construction, and architect John Pasquale from the BBS architectural firm, provide an update to Catskill CSD’s Health & Safety Committee and SAVE (Schools Against Violence in Education) Committee about the planned construction.

A public presentation on the Capital Project plan is scheduled for the November 13 Board of Education meeting, taking place at 6:30 p.m. in the Catskill High School Library.

In February, 2019 residents approved a $40,795,000 Capital Improvement Project to bring needed improvements to our District’s buildings, academic programs, classrooms, security controls, roadways, parking lots, and athletic fields through renovations, construction, and equipment purchases. Following SED approval, the first phase of construction is expected to begin in June, 2020.
