Dear CHS Families,

As you have been made aware, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Governor’s orders, the 2019-2020 school year will end on June 16th. With the early closure of the school year, we have developed the following protocol to return materials and get personal items to our students.

We will start collecting all borrowed Chromebooks, textbooks, calculators, compasses, and workbooks the week of June 22nd from the times of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We ask that you come to the high school back parking lot during these times to bring back all supplies provided to you during this pandemic.

In addition, we have been cleaning out personal items out of lockers and gym lockers. As we clean out the personal items, we will bag the items and call you to come and pick-up these items from the high school.

We are starting the virtual taping of our senior graduates the week of June 1st through June 10th. After compiling all graduates and speeches, the broadcasting team at CHS will develop a final product to be shown live on June 26th at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, June 16th starting at 6:00 p.m. we will be hosting our senior/junior awards virtually. More information regarding the virtual connection will be sent to the award winners and their families in the near future.

On June 26th at 2:00 p.m. the CHS seniors will be having a Senior Drive-through starting in the back parking lot of the Elementary school. The drive-through will be led by local fire, police, and a DJ as the student’s/family members will drive through the three schools parking lots. Staff will line the parking lots to provide a send-off to the seniors. We encourage our seniors to decorate their cars and wear their cap and gown.

Information regarding virtual summer school opportunities will be relayed to the community as soon as a final determination has been finalized.

Final report cards will be mailed home on June 18th.

I want to thank you for your patience and support during this unprecedented time. As a community, we have overcome a difficult learning environment and successfully provided our students with opportunities to be prepared for college and careers.
