Catskill Students Paint People at Foreland

Five students from CCSD pursued their artistic interests in our community this past January. The owners of The Foreland in Catskill, a new space for art and artists in a gallery environment, invited our middle and high schoolers to join an art class they were hosting on Painting People. It was free for a limited number of people in the community; students 12 years and up, college students and adults who love art were all welcome to join.

Catskill High School junior Cristina Signoretti and four Catskill Middle School students, Adriana Passero, Ezra Nunez, Layla Duff, and Luisa De Leon Green joined the class, which ran every Wednesday afternoon during the month of January.

At the end of the four week season, the participants displayed their work and invited the public to come see their show. It was a great opportunity for our students, who met other artists, learned new techniques, and got to experience a live gallery show.

CCSD is proud of our students, great work!
