CHS Student Paints People at The Foreland

Catskill High School junior Cristina Signoretti pursued her artistic interests in our community this past January. The owners of The Foreland in Catskill, a new space for art and artists in a gallery environment, invited Catskill middle and high schoolers to join an art class they were hosting on Painting People. It was free for a limited number of people in the community; students 12 years and up, college students and adults who love art were all welcome to join. Cristina and four Catskill Middle School students joined the class, which ran every Wednesday afternoon during the month of January.

At the end of the four week season, the participants displayed their work and invited the public to come see their show. It was a great opportunity for Cristina to meet other artists, learn new techniques, and experience a live gallery show. Great work!
