Gold, Silver and More at FCCLA National Leadership Conference

Catskill CSD congratulates Leon Hong, Liam Mariani and Louise Kieraldo for representing Catskill at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) National Leadership Conference held June 29-July 3 in Seattle, WA. Individually, Leon Hong represented the North Atlantic Region on the Nomination Committee. In this position, Leon worked with 20 of his FCCLA peers to interview and evaluate the 28 national officer candidates. This committee narrowed down the applicants to 20 and the FCCLA delegation voted and elected the 10 FCCLA national candidates for the school year.

Liam Mariani and Louise Kieraldo participated in Students Taking Action with Recognition(STAR) Events that recognized them for their proficiency and achievement in individual projects.  Louise received a Gold award and placed second in the country in National Program in Action, while Liam received a Silver award in Professional Presentation!
