Dear Catskill CSD Community:

This morning, the Catskill Police Department notified me that a Catskill Academy student brought a BB gun in to school today. The BB gun was confiscated from the student and handed over to the authorities. The Catskill Academy is not affiliated with the school district. They lease property from us and facilitate their program in the back of our campus. At no time were Catskill Central School District students or staff in jeopardy. Our armed security staff was put on notice immediately as a precaution. The situation was dealt with swiftly and appropriately by Questar Staff, with the assistance of Catskill PD.
