Last week, every 5th grader at CES got a taste of the middle school experience with a visit to CMS. Our soon-to-be sixth graders met the principal, assistant principal, and school counselors, learned about the general expectations CMS has for its students, and then paired up with a 6th grade buddy to shadow for a morning of classes. The 5th graders’ visits are part of our Shining Stars series of transitional events organized by the CMS guidance department and held each spring to help prepare our elementary students for a comfortable move into middle school.
