The NYS Department of Health recently announced that high-risk winter sports (basketball, volleyball, and wrestling) may begin as soon as February 1, 2021 if approved by the local county departments of health. The Greene County Department of Public Health has informed us that the positivity rate in Greene County must be at or below 4% in order for schools to participate in high-risk sports. As of today, January 27, the positivity rate in the County is 6.9%, which means high risk sports are not approved to begin at this time. We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide additional updates should the situation change.
