Important Information from Dr. Cook- CHS Remains on Virtual Instruction-Transportation for Questar Students

January 9, 2022

Dear Catskill CSD Community:

Please allow the following to serve as a reminder that our high school will remain on virtual instruction for the week of Monday, January 10th through Friday, January 14, 2022. We anticipate the high school returning to in-person instruction on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, following the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Our elementary and middle schools will operate on their normal schedules.

Tomorrow morning (Monday, January 10, 2022 weather pending), the District will begin transporting high school students who attend Questar III BOCES programs. High school students, who attend Questar III programs, will need to adhere to the following:

  1. Morning and full day Questar students will take their regular morning bus route to the high school and take the shuttle to Questar.
  2. Midday Questar students will be picked up at their bus stop and dropped off at Questar. A phone call will be made this evening to give approximate pick – up times.
  3. Morning Questar students will be picked up at Questar and brought home.
  4. Midday and full day Questar students will take the shuttle from Questar back to the high school and take their regular bus home.

All high school students who attend Questar programs and are currently quarantined must remain at home until their quarantine order has expired.

Transportation for New Visions and Tech Valley will continue as normal. Athletic practices and competitions will be able to continue as planned due to the fact that our coaches and student-athletes undergo regular testing in order to participate.

In closing, we thank you for your continued support and understanding. Please keep your children at home if they are ill. At home test kits are now located in your child’s school. Please call the school if you are in need of one.

As always, we will keep you updated to any changes in health regulations, procedures and weather- related situations.

Respectfully submitted,

Dr. Ronel Cook
