Important Information from Dr Cook: No Classes Friday, April 15 – Monday, April 25

April 13, 2022

Dear Catskill Families,

I would like to remind everyone that tomorrow, Thursday, April 14 is a half day for all students and that all District schools and offices will be closed Friday, April 15. Our Spring Recess runs April 18-22, there will be no classes that week. Additionally, at last night’s Board of Education meeting, the Board approved the proposed changes to our 2021-22 school calendar I informed you about earlier. This makes the Monday following our spring break, April 25, an official give-back day and all District schools and offices will be closed. Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 26.

The other changes to the calendar approved by the Board last night are:

  1. Thursday, May 26, 2022 – Half-day of school for all grades.
  2. Friday, May 27, 2022 – Give Back Day #2- No classes, District offices and buildings will be closed.
  3. Friday, June 17, 2022 – Half-day of school for Pre-K through Grade 8 only, (Regents day for high school students).

In closing, the give back days were contingent on the District not closing school due to inclement weather and / or other emergency related conditions. Please enjoy the spring break!

Regards,

Dr. Ronel Cook
Superintendent of Schools
