Johnson Resigns from Board of Education

At its September 6 meeting, the Catskill Board of Education accepted the resignation of Board president Deborah Johnson, who stated personal reasons for her departure from the Board.

The Board would like to thank Ms. Johnson for her years of dedication and service to the Catskill Central School District. She was first elected to the Board in May, 2017 and served as the Board’s president from July, 2018. Before becoming a volunteer Board member, she worked for the District as an elementary teacher, elementary school principal, and director of curriculum. In her time here, Ms. Johnson made a lasting positive impact on our school community and she will truly be missed.
