The Utica National Insurance Group has given Catskill Central School District its highest award for safety excellence, presenting Catskill with its Titanium-level School Safety Excellence Award. Along with a framed certificate commemorating the District’s safety efforts, Utica National presented Catskill with a $500 award for use in furthering safety in the District. 2024 marks Catskill’s seventh year in a row earning the Titanium-level award.
“Safety and health concerns continue to be a priority in our school districts,” explained Brian Saville, Senior Vice President in Utica National’s Educational Institutions Unit. “Districts that go ‘above and beyond’ to provide a safe, healthy and focused culture for learning are to be applauded, and we’re pleased to count Catskill Central School District among them.”
In Utica National’s Safety Excellence Award program, schools can earn meritorious distinction at three levels – gold, platinum, and titanium – by meeting specific criteria to enhance overall school safety. Schools are evaluated in categories such as bullying prevention programs, playground safety, transportation, and other areas using specific, quantifiable surveys.
