Catskill High School senior and New Visions – Business, Finance, & Marketing student Ryan Carter recently completed a 54-hour internship with Matt Mackerer, of Karp, Ackerman, Small & Hogan CPAs PC (KASH) in Hudson, NY. This internship earned Ryan credit for the Catskill CEIP (Career Exploration Internship Program) and allowed him to get an honors distinction for his Columbia-Greene Community College Financial Accounting course. Ryan learned all aspects of what the CPA firm does, including business and individual tax returns and financial statement preparation. He also researched and reported on topics such as estate and gift tax returns, tax credits, and NYS sales tax. Thank you Mr, Mackerer and KASH CPAs for this amazing experience!
