Catskill High School National Honor Society (NHS) members held a Valentine’s Day fundraiser to help raise money for Clara Ray Morton, a local little girl born with a major heart problem and other health issues. As an organization, the students wanted to do something to help Clara and her family out as the family is faced with large medical bills, medicine costs, and other daily expenses.
During their fundraiser, the NHS sold carnation flowers and cake pops throughout the day to students, faculty and staff. The also accepted donations from many teachers. Together, they were able to raise $650 for Clara Ray, which all of the NHS members hope will help Clara Ray and her family. To go along with the money, each NHS member wrote a sweet, personal message of hope on a heart cut-out for Clara Ray’s family to read. The students at Catskill High School are thinking of her and wishing her well!
