Catskill Central School District is forming a Facilities Planning Task Force and needs members from the school and district community.
The committee may include the following members:
School Business Official
2 Board Members
2 citizens at large
Athletic Booster Representative
Music Booster Representative
Director of Transportation and Food Service (as needed)
Assistant Superintendent for Special Education, Curriculum and Instruction (as needed)
The committee has two main purposes:
To provide a formal recommendation to the Board of Education for items to be included in an upcoming capital project referendum.
To provide input to the Architect as they develop a plan and cost estimates for the referendum for public approval.
The district is contracting with BBS Architects, Landscape Architects and Engineers, P.C. in order to complete this process and they will facilitate the task force. The district is seeking volunteers from the demographics listed above. The commitment from volunteers will include several meetings over the summer months and into the fall months in order to fulfill the purposes above.
Through this process the district will be making improvements to the facilities that will shape the future of activities and programs for years to come, and plans to do that with the participation of many stakeholder groups.
